Starter:
You just found out that something terrible has happened to your best friend. Would you rather go spend time with them or seek justice in his/her honor. Explain your reasoning.
Activity:
1. A you know, yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Let's listen to his famous speech. As you listen, think about patterns that evolve in his speech. We will then discuss as a class.
2. Each of you will be assigned either chapter 13 or 14. Reread the material and jot down important passages in groups. Using the big sheets of paper, you will write down the quote that you find the most significant in the chapter.
